Auric Research (“Auric,” “we,” “us”) operates auricresearch.com and the Auric daily portfolio brief email service. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
- Account information: When you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Asset preferences: The metals and tickers you select for your daily brief.
- Payment information: Billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe provides us with your subscription status and a customer identifier.
How We Use Your Information
- To generate and send your personalized daily portfolio brief.
- To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe.
- To communicate service-related updates (e.g., billing issues, service changes).
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
- Google Firebase: Authentication and user data storage.
- Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management.
- SendGrid: Email delivery.
- Google Cloud: Application hosting and data storage.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account page. Upon deletion, we remove your data from Firebase, Firestore, and cancel your Stripe subscription.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase Authentication, and Google Cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers.
